CHECK CALENDAR FOR NEXT BIRD WALK

The Williamsburg Bird Club sponsors bird walks on the second Saturday at different local parks, and the fourth Saturday at New Quarter Park at 1000 Lakeshead Drive. Walks are from 8:00-10:00. Bring your binoculars.

Bird Walk at New Quarter Park, 12/22/2018

The birds were still sleeping this morning, maybe too much Solstice yesterday, and we worked hard to find 27 species, many around the feeders. Nevertheless it was a very pleasant morning and always fun trying!

Bird Walk at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 12/8/2018

The Bird Club held its second Saturday bird walk at CRP yesterday. 46 species — see eBird list linked below. Nancy Barnhart led the way. Fifteen people attended including Nancy.

Many thanks to Jan for leading us around the park. One of the highlights was the Osprey flying over Queen’s Creek. And of course, Andy’s granddaughter.
