On our walk at Bassett Hall Nature Trail on August 10, 2019, we had 13 birders identify
31 species of birds. The group especially enjoyed the Red-headed Woodpecker and seeing the trees where
there is a nest cavity. At least two juveniles flew off as the group approached. (dingier
brown version of adult). We also enjoyed a Great Blue Heron at the pond. Photos by Cheryl Jacobson.
