Bird Walk at New Quarter Park, 5/28/2022
We had 24 people attend this morning’s bird walk at New Quarter Park! We saw 35 species of birds! Some highlights were two great egrets, several osprey’s flying around carrying sticks and one on the nest platform with a chick! We also heard a hooded warbler along the trail to the fire pit. The Acadian and great crested flycatchers are here! We also saw three turtles! A snapping turtle, a mud turtle and a box turtle. It was a beautiful morning for a walk in the park!
