Event Category: Bird Walks
CHECK CALENDAR FOR NEXT BIRD WALK
The Williamsburg Bird Club sponsors bird walks on the second Saturday at different local parks, and the fourth Saturday at New Quarter Park at 1000 Lakeshead Drive. Walks are from 8:00-10:00. Bring your binoculars.
We had twelve people for the November bird walk at New Quarter Park. We saw 32 species of birds. Most of our woodpeckers made an appearance yesterday as we saw seven species! Our winter ducks are starting to arrive as we saw two Buffleheads and three Hooded Mergansers. We also had a very coorporative Hermit Thrush that all got a very good look at. It was a beautiful late fall morning for a walk.

It was a beautiful cool fall morning for the walk. We saw 38 species of birds! We saw several migrants fueling up in the trees for their flight south, such as Summer Tanager, Swainson’s Thrush and three Cape May Warblers!
