  • Ruby-throated Hummingbirds

    The hummingbirds in Williamsburg are almost all Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. The best nectar recipe is 1/4 cup sugar to 1 cup water. NO red dye. Be sure to change the nectar every couple days, if not more often. Photo by Bill Williams.

Phi Beta Kappa at W&M awarded the Williamsburg Bird Club the Lifetime Learning Award in May 2015. Geoff Giles, who was Bird Club President at that time, turned over the Award to current President Bill Williams at the March Club meeting.
