  • Waller Mill Park Bird Walk

Shirley writes: Thanks to all who came out to Waller Mill Park this morning for a beautiful morning in the park. I really appreciate all the extra eyes and ears as we walked through the dense woods. Proves my hypothesis: The more birders you have, the more birds you'll find! We heard lots of birds and enjoyed looks at a few of them. The bird of the day was the Prothonotary Warbler that we heard and then found early in the walk. Some folks got good looks at Ovenbirds and a Wood Thrush landed in the trail for good looks. A few Acadian Flycatchers showed off as well.

Seven birders joined me at 8 am:

    Ann and Gary Carpenter
    Jim Corliss
    Ruth and Dean Gordon
    Joyce Lowry
    Diane Stricklin
